                  That our joy may be full 1:4

              That you may not sin 2:1

         Because your sins are forgiven  2:12

  Because you know Him 2:13

        Because you know the truth 2:21

              Because deceivers are in the world  2:26

                 That you may know you have eternal life  5:13

 A 4 Step Outline of  1 John:

God Leads us to:

   Walk in the Light 1:5-7, 2:8-10

   Confess Our Sin 1:8, 2:2, 3:5-6

   Obey His Commandments 2:3-8, 3:22-24, 4:21, 5:1-3

   Love One Another 2:7-14

God Warns Us to be Careful:

   To walk in and follow The Truth 1:6,8, 2:4,21,27, 3:18,19, 4:6, 5:6  

   To Love not the World 2:15-17, 4:5, 5:4-5  

   Antichrists are in the world 2:18-27, 4:1-3

God Enables us to:

   Live Pure Lives 2:28-3:3

   Be Righteous 3:4-12

   Love in Deed and in Truth 3:13-24

   Test and Try the spirits 4:1-6

   Love as Christ Loves 4:7-5:3

Fellowship with God:

   We Overcome the World 1:9, 5:4-5

   We Have The Born Again Life Within 2:29, 3:9, 4:7, 5:1,4,6-18

   We Ask and Believe in Prayer 3:22, 5:14-17

   We Have Freedom from Sin 1:7-10, 2:1-2,12, 3:4-5,9, 4:20, 5:16-21
