Positive Statements about The Law in Galatians:

5:12 The Whole Law is fulfilled in Loving your neighbor

6:2 Bear one another’s burdens and thus fulfill the Law of The Christ.

     (The Law Served Until)

(3:19 The Law was added because of transgressions – Until The Seed should come.)

(3:23-24 The Law was our Schoolmaster to Lead us to Christ That we should be Justified by Faith.)

Paul leads believers like Peter was led, to walk on the water with Jesus.... In this same way, we have The Fruit of The Spirit... ‘against such there is no law’ Gal 5:23.

From the list of verses which deal with ‘law’ in Galatians, we can see Paul is not against leadership nor is he against The Law as a means of correction and discipline. Paul is not anti-law in any of his writings. But we can see all of The 10 Commandments are reformed in The New Covenant.

In Galatians, Paul insists The Holy Spirit is the Holiness of God within believers, and The Spirit alone is able to defeat the fleshly nature that rules in all those who are not led by The Holy Spirit. Paul insists that any external force cannot Justify anyone. The Power of God must enter within each believer and That Power is The Holy Spirit.

  Circumcision in Galatians:

Some in the Jewish community obviously wanted all believers to be circumcised. This was one of the goals of the Jewdaizers in The Galatian Church, and is one activity Paul stands strongly against.   2:7-9, 12,   5:2-3, 6, 11,   6:12-13, 15.  Paul then shows that all the O T Law serves no good purpose for The Believers in Galatia.... Paul’s stand against any external law being imposed on The Gentiles is mentioned only in the Book of Galatians.

The concept of a Believer’s need for Faith and being connected intimately with God is strongly conveyed in all of Paul’s writings. Certainly we need to see the vast improvement between the Old and the New Covenant in terms of Spiritual Intimacy with God.... Paul’s insistence that circumcision was wrong as a means of finding favor with God is evident. Then to insist The Galatians must live and walk in The Holy Spirit is evident as well. Thus Law as a means of Salvation would lead Christians in the wrong direction or back towards the curses rather than into the blessings of The New Covenant.
