Chapter 10 – Commandment: 6 Do Not Kill
JESUS provides Atonement for sin. Sin brings death Jam 1:15, Rom 8:2
-
– Why does The Heavenly Way Work Much Better? Chapter 10 begins to show the intent and inner workings GOD wants within our Heart and Mind.
Heb 10:1 ‘The Law had a weak shadow of removing Crime and year by year was not able to remove crimes from the conscience.’ We have Forgiveness and Freedom with Rest and Peace within Christ. But there continues a usefulness of conscience in our training -
10:2 The freedom actualized in JESUS was once a promise to The Jews, who every year hoped for freedom from captivity. We who were once in the ‘kingdom of darkness are now Brought into The Kingdom of HIS Dear SON -
10:8-
10:9 ...”to do THY Will O GOD.” 10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.” KJV
Here ‘BODY’ is mentioned... Once for All. As a reminder HE took on HIM the same flesh we have, and suffered for our redemption as a man.10:12 ”But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; 13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. 14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.” -
JESUS performed The Atonement Activities ONCE and afterwards, HE Sat Down on The Throne at The Right Hand of The Most High GOD, Our Father. This is a very important concept. HE is not repeating the ceremony but HE constantly sits on our behalf -
This is the Access HIS Brethren Have, in The Blood of The Covenant, GOD has made with us, in Christ JESUS. We are The House of GOD -
This is the ongoing work of maturity and overcoming life we live in HIS Church -
Heb 10:16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; 17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. 18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; 21 And having an high priest over the house of God; 22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)”
– When we have been forgiven 10:18, let us forget and forgive ourselves.
