Acts 15 deals with The Inclusion of The Gentiles in The Fellowship of The Body of Christ (or The Church.)
Included in this context is The Tabernacle of David and the restoration thereof…. Acts 15:16
I have two thoughts on this:
– David was able to bring the Ark of The Covenant back into Jerusalem. He set The Ark in an open Tent and everyone was able to see it.
(In Moses’ Tabernacle, it was enclosed and hidden in the Most Holy Place. It was captured and heathen people looked upon it. But they were cursed and returned it to Israel. Later Solomon placed it once again within the Most Holy Place, where only the High Priest could see it. It was hidden away somewhere before Babylon captured the Temple….)
– David was able to restore Judah and Israel in one Kingdom. This may tie in with The Gentiles being added.
Acts 13:33 God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee. 34 And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he said on this wise, I will give you the sure mercies of David. 35 Wherefore he saith also in another psalm, Thou shalt not suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
Act 4:25 Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things? 26 The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.
Rev 3:7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
5:5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
