Romans Main Theme: God’s Judgments are Righteous and Just Righteousness and Justice are the result of God’s Salvation....
This Booklet goes through Romans to connect ‘righteousness’ with the end result of GOD’s ‘justice.’ ‘Righteousness’, ‘Justification’ / ‘Justice’ and ‘Judgment’ are related. ‘Faith’ / ‘Believe’ and ‘Law’ are also often connected to righteousness....
Paul opens Romans Chapter 1 by stating his desire to visit them, ‘that he might impart some spiritual gifts to them’ Rom1:11. (Later in Paul’s ministry he would be taken to Rome as a prisoner. There Paul would preach to The Roman Guards while he was in prison.)
As in 1Corinthians, Paul insists that The Sacrifice of Christ Jesus has enabled, God’s Power and Plan to be implemented unto Salvation Rom 1:16. The Book of Romans was written by Paul to instruct The Church about GOD’s Righteousness, and His Justice in implementing His Salvation Plan.
Rome was the center of power, civil law and justice (or injustice) in the Christian World at that time. It is fitting that Paul should write about these same principles from God’s perspective in The Book of Romans....
The Main Theme is written in Rom 1:17 “For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.”
In 1:18, we see the result of rejecting GOD’s Plan = The Wrath of GOD....
These two opposites define the Start and End of GOD’s Plan:
Start: Justification by Faith at ‘Passover’; End: Judgment gives Blessings for Believers through ‘Atonement’ OR Wrath for Unbelievers at ‘The Great Judgment Day’
Outline of The Gospel Heb 1:16-
Outline of The 10 Commandments in Romans Chapter 1: 1. 1:1-
The New Testament concepts of the 10 Commandments are outlined in Chapter One.... Later we will see Paul gives us more detail on each of The 10 Commandments and again he marches us through them in 1 thru 10 order -
(Note: The Book of Hebrews deals with ‘Atonement’ which is God’s provision for Christians– to be trained and disciplined. Romans theme of ‘Justice’ follows after the main theme in Hebrews. Though both Hebrews and Romans deal with many of the same fundamentals. – Such as The 10 Commandments, and Christian Maturity….)
