Atonement means ‘to make Reconciliation’ ‘cover sin’ ‘be merciful’ and ‘cleanse’ The People of God. Note JESUS is both Merciful -

Hebrews 3:1 “Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; 2 Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house. 3 For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house.” KJV
JESUS and Moses are faithful examples in honoring GOD. Moses in building The Tent, Law and Sacrifices shown to him for a meeting place with GOD, and JESUS in building The Church and Body of Christ -

In Chapter 3, Rest -
3:18 ”And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest” -
Hebrews 4:1 “Let us Respect the promise of entering into His rest,” HIS Rest -
Passover purchased our Rest. Pentecost teaches GOD’s Nature. Trumpets gathers us into His body. Atonement draws us into HIS Presence. At Tabernacles we live In HIS Presence, and The Last Judgment Day insists we Respect (fear) and obey HIM.
