At this time, we see the great battle between the Silver (Moslem) and the Gold (Babylon) parts of The image seen in Daniel Chapter 2.  This battle will continue until the final struggle for world dominion is settled.    In Rev. 17, we see the religious system, and in Rev. 18 we see the economic system of Babylon (or the Golden Head.) This description fits the current Religious/Economic system we call Christianity. Thus the Head and the Feet are connected once again at the very end. The whole image stands just as Daniel described it - Including the Moslem and Christian Cultures which oppose the truth. These will all finally be defeated by Jesus at the end of Revelation Chapter 19.

(The ten toes in Daniel and the ten kings in Rev. 17 [which had not yet received a kingdom] must be the same entity. I think these might be the 10 lost tribes of Israel as a type– Or they are the 10 World Economic Centers as manifest in part by the 10 WTO groups. These resist The Lamb, but HE will overcome them – And once overcome they serve God and do HIS will to destroy The Harlot System.)
