There is a dramatic difference in the Warfare in The Old Testament                versus the Warfare in The New Testament.

   1. First we have the belt of TRUTH - Our inner man is girded up by the Truth - That JESUS lived on this Earth as a man. HE died and rose again as an eternal man, Who was without sin and enables us to stand in HIM without sin before GOD.

   2. We have The Breastplate of Righteousness as a free gift from GOD. WHO lives within our heart through JESUS CHRIST our Righteousness.

   3. We have our feet shod with The Gospel of Peace. As JESUS is The Prince of Peace, so we are Peacemakers. We inherit The Earth through The Peace which comes with The Good News.

   4. Above all, We Take the Shield of Faith - Which casts down every wicked thing which comes against us. Faith is a free gift, but we must keep in contact with Faith as our protection above all else. Faith enables us to keep in contact with GOD’s Power through JESUS Christ our LORD.

    5. We Take the Helmet of Salvation. Our Soul (Mind, Will and Emotion) is defended with Salvation. We know we are saved by Grace, which GOD freely gave to us by the sacrifice of HIS Own SON.

    6. We Take the Sword of The Spirit, which is The Rhema Word of GOD. This is our only aggressive weapon. JESUS used The Word to defeat satan the devil. So We Take The Word of GOD to cut through every spiritual thing that comes against us.

   7. We always stand in prayer, having all our weapons which GOD so lovingly has provided for us.

Eph 6:13 that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching....

We must understand first of all that we are in Christ - Justified by grace. JESUS is far above all our enemies. That’s why we use HIS Name in prayer. GOD has provided all our armor, and we are in HIM - being members of Christ’s Body.

Ephesians 1:21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:Ephesians 4:10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.

Next we must bring every thought into captivity to Christ.  2Cor 10:3-6,For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

and Heb 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Third, we must try The Spirits  1Joh 4:1, and 1Cor 14:29.1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

1 Corinthians 14:29 Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.
