12:8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

12:11 ”Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness....”

We must accept The Help and Training of The LORD, if we are to grow and come to maturity. To hear and obey is to submit to HIS LORDSHIP and listen to ‘The Father within our spirit and Live.’ Any problems we have are the result of not listening (doing it our way.) To Submit brings rest and peace. To sit at HIS Table, and rest at The Throne brings Grace and Mercy.

Discipleship should be our daily provision.

Chastening comes when we don’t listen.

Scourging comes only when we refuse HIS advise.

This discipline devours the adversary. Yes, there are those who do not accept salvation but that is not who we are. The Book of Hebrews is written to Believers who desire to mature in faith and to come closer to The Living GOD.

12:15 ”Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;”

The Ladder of Sin (See Diagram) fits this section of Hebrews. If we can only forgive, many entanglements with sin and death are broken. Otherwise, Disappointments, grow to resentments, then into bitterness ...and so on.  Confusion ensnares us into fear and anger, until we find open sin and separation unto death....

Forgiveness is the answer - though the natural man may not see it -

JESUS demands it. Mat 6:12-15, Mat 18:22, 35....

HE desires us to come Through The Blood of JESUS, coming into HIS Presence at The Throne.  The Holy Spirit visits us and brings us fully resting in HIS Presence. We are Covered (atoned) in The Blood (Relationship agreement - Covenant) in JESUS as our Husband, redeemer, savior, and intercessor.

This is the work of the Second and Living Goat.  Called the ‘Scape Goat’  in Lev 16.
