               Overview:   from

"No Condemnation: A Theology of Assurance              of Salvation"

Extremes in both Cal. and Arm. lead to legalism and judgments of others. Cal. also tends to introspective-self judgment.

Warning scriptures

like in Hebrews and 1 John should be seen as boundaries which direct believers towards growth, maturity and son-ship, Not as possible loss of justification.

Salvation is a free choice but God disciplines some more than others according to His plan.

Jesus has fully paid for all things and offers it freely to each who receive salvation.

Motivation:

Armenian- Warnings show believers can loose justification. Thus belief requires good works.

Calvin - sees warnings to those who were never really saved. This drives into constant good works.

Rather believers are empowered and directed by The HS.

Armenian leads to extreme self righteousness. One cannot have assurance of final salvation even though they are presently assured of present salvation. Wesley (Nazarene) holiness movement, perfection and legalism. Moral code of The Law still applied to Believers.

Book of Life:

If the book of life, is an eternal life record, then babies are eternal until they come to accountability. Once accountable they can be removed from the Book if they do not believe, and unbelievers are dealt with in The Lake of Fire.
