1 John 5:13–15 “13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. 14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: 15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”

 We KNOW we HAVE Eternal LIFE living in us and we have access to His Presence at The Throne. We commune with God in Spirit, through Jesus and His Blood, we come in Christ Jesus to The Father. There we learn to know His Will and we hear His voice. And in our communication with Him we know He hears us and we know He agrees with His will as we talk with Him. This is The Atonement Process....

Warnings:

1 John 5:16–19 “16 If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it. 17 All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death. 18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. 19 And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.”

 The world lies in sin. We are in the world but not of it - as we walk in The Spirit, we have no sin. If we walk in the flesh, we know the sin nature lies within - We must reckon ourselves dead to wickedness (the sin nature in our flesh.) The whole Plan of Salvation is enabled by what God provides for us.

1 John 5:20–21 “20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. 21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.”

 The Three fold nature of God lives in us. We have access through Jesus’ Atoning work within our spirit-man. All other methods are idols (which lead to nothing or into the emptiness away from God.) The Salvation Plan of God The Father has been invested in Jesus Christ His Son and by His Holy Spirit dwelling within us. This Process then includes The Whole Plan of God for our salvation....

 1John often warns that believers need to Keep The Commandments

2:3-8 Hereby we know Him, if we keep His Commandments …. he that keeps not His commandments is a liar…I write no new commandment unto you

3:22-24 because we keep His Commandments…and that we should believe on The Name of His Son… he that keeps His Commandments dwells in Him

4:21 This commandment we have, to love our brother

5:2 when we love God we keep His Commandments

5:3 This is the Love of God, that we keep His Commandments

 Notice also that Love is connected with The Commandments
