In John 8:1-12 A woman is brought to Jesus being accused of adultery.

JESUS writes in the Dust near The Temple.... What was HE Writing? and Why?

In Numbers 5:11+  We can see one answer to these questions.-- Where, if a husband thinks his wife has committed adultery, he brings her to the priest. The priest does basically what Jesus did. Jesus writes the accusations in the dust and pronounces a curse upon the woman if she is guilty....

After reading the words Jesus had wrote, (probably the sins of those accusing the woman) each accuser leaves in shame. Finally Jesus advises the woman to escape the curse and leave her sinful lifestyle. HE says to her, GO and Sin NO More....

This is HIS Advise to each one of us as well !

In John 8 and onward, Jesus states HE is ‘The I AM’

     - He uses several word pictures to describe His Eternal Name. These are also seen in Psa 23 and in The O T where YHWH is Named using many of the same Word Pictures:

8:23-24 I AM not of this world, if ye believe not that I AM He, ye shall die on your sins.

8:58 Before Abraham was I AM

9:5 I AM the Light of The World

10:7,9,10 I AM The Door of The Sheep

10:11,14 I AM the Good Shepherd

11:25 I AM The Resurrection and The Life

14:6 I AM The Way, The Truth and The Life, no man comes to The Father, but by Me.

14:11 I AM in The Father, and The Father in Me, and ye in Me, and I in you.

15:5 I AM The Vine, ye are the branches

16:28 I came from The Father, and I AM come into the world

17:14,16 I AM not of this world

18: 5,6,7 I AM He

Each of these statements also reflect the Theme of Need-Conflict-Provision in John. Believers each must overcome the world the flesh and the devil.... And during the conflict, we must not become distracted nor confused.
