1 Corinthians 12: Dealing with One GOD in The Church
Verse 2 states the Believers at Corinth were “Gentiles, carried away unto dumb idols....”
Then to instruct The Church about the Unity of The True and living God, Paul relates how The Spirit works in GOD and lifts up Jesus as LORD in the remaining verses of First Corinthians Chapter 12.
Paul emphasizes the Unity and Oneness of GOD in The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit just after stating the Gentiles were once idolaters. This ties together the doctrine of Monotheism and the operations of The Holy Spirit in each member of The Church Body.
Verse 3- The Spirit of GOD cannot curse Jesus but says Jesus is LORD by The Holy Spirit.
4 - “diversities of gifts, but The Same Spirit”
5 - “The Same LORD” administers the differences of gifts
6 - “The Same GOD” works all in all
7 - “the manifestation of the spirit is given to every man to profit withal.”
8 - “For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom;
8 - to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit.”
9 - “... to another the discerning of spirits;...”
10 - “But all these working that one and the selfsame Spirit,
11 - dividing to every man as He will.”
12 - “For the body is one, and hath many members of that one body: so also is Christ.”
13 - “For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body....”
14-18 many members of various parts and prople but “GOD set the members in the body...
19-23 the various parts of the body are one body....
25 - that the members should care one for another.”
26 - GOD has set some in the Church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.” “Covet earnestly the best gifts:”
