   Death and Resurrection

 Chapters 13 thru 21 deal with The Passover and Feast of Unleavened Bread when Jesus was Sacrificed and of HIS Resurrection....

 Only John tells us about The Foot Washing - That Servants will be greatest in The Kingdom of GOD. 13:3-13. HE predicts Judas’ betrayal and Peter’s 3 Denials.

Then we have the final instructions to His Disciples in Chapters 14-17.   See The 21 Aspects of The Holy Spirit

  15:1-17 Jesus insists we MUST remain connected to Him or we have no life in us.

  15:18+ predictions of persecution in the world

  16:16+ Jesus will return (for 40 days) and after 40 Jubilees HE will Return....

  17:1-5 Jesus prays He will be glorified (even during the trial in The Garden.)

  17:6-19 HE prays for The Disciples

  17:20-26 HE prays for Unity among believers

  18:1-   Jesus is betrayed and taken for trial

   18:12-24 To Annas - Father In Law of The Jewish High Priest

   18:24-27 To Caiaphas The High Priest

   18:28+ To Pilate who attempts to release Him. (John omits Herod mocking Jesus)

   19:8+ Pilate questions Jesus, (The People clamor for His death)

   Jesus tasted the Sour Wine 19:28   HE said ‘It is Finished’ and gave up His Spirit 19:30   HIS side is pierced and out flowed blood and water 19:34

   Before 6 PM Friday His body is prepared 19:38-42 Jesus’ Body is placed  into The Tomb 20:1+- The Resurrection

 20:1 The First of The Sabbaths (see 1Corinthians for details)  Mary Magdalene comes while it is still dark 20:1  She runs to tell The Disciples 20:2  Peter and John run to see The Empty Tomb 20:3-9  Jesus appears to Mary  Magdalene 20:10-16  Jesus tells Mary to let Him go to Father GOD 20:17   

 20:19 Jesus appears (after sunset Sunday) The First of The Weeks to His Disciples

 20:22 HE breaths on Them and says, ‘Receive The Holy Spirit.’  And They are given Authority to forgive or retain sins.... 20:23

 20:26 After 8 Days again He appears to His Disciples  This must be The 8th Day of Passover or The Last Day of Unleavened Bread. 20:28 Thomas sees and touches Jesus’ Body and says ‘My LORD and my GOD.’
