Heb 10:25 ”Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”

 The warning in this section –  the need to Remember The Sabbath Day  of Atonement - Just as Passover is a serious matter in 1Cor 11, and Trumpets is not to be Judged against in Col 2:16-17.

 These matters once marked by annual Festivals should now be marked in our Hearts and Minds with the freshness of our most recent visit to The Throne.... Though the pattern is yearly and deals in the O T with Feasts and harvests, The N T shows us a new and living way – An active and ongoing relationship between Believers and The Family of GOD.

Repeating The Warnings –  in Heb 6:6 and 10:26

Heb 6:6 If they shall fall away, it is impossible to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

10:26 ”For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, 27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.”

 First we must believe that GOD does not desire to ‘devour’ believers -  if we sin, we must repent (even 70 X 7 times) with a good heart. HE expects brothers to forgive 70 times 7 - if a brother repents and comes to request forgiveness. GOD desires believers to repent and come to the knowledge of the truth. 1Tim 2:4, etc. HE desires sin to be removed and for us to live by Faith. (As we see later in Chapter 12, this involves discipline and training - even to scourging every Son Whom HE receives. 12:6)

 10:27 ‘The adversaries’ we face are The World, The Flesh and the devil. These must be overcome and The ONE Who is our LORD and Savior will “make a quick work and cut it short in Righteousness.” Rom 9:28  HE will ‘remove the dark covering from This World.’ Isa 25:5-7 Babylon will be exposed Rev 14:8 and HE has given us The Spirit to convict us of sin, righteousness and judgment Joh 16:8. We see in Ch. 12, how we must be submitted to The Father and how HE deals with us in HIS Love and Mercy.

 10:28 - ‘under Moses they died Without Mercy.’  How MUCH MORE shall we fall under Scourging and Chastening –  ‘Vengeance belongs unto ME’ 10:30 “and The LORD shall Judge HIS People.  10:31 ”It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”

10:35 ”Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. 36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. 37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. 38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. 39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.” see also Rom 1:17 and Gal 3:11

The JUST Shall Live by FAITH - being Connected To, Thru and Within HIM.... The Holy Spirit lives within us, JESUS intercedes and covers us, The Father desires us to grow in HIS Love....

How can we shrink back from such LOVE? Yet we suffer scourging and chastening in HIS careful Training and Discipline. Which seems not to be good to the natural man - our sinful nature must be reckoned dead day by day....
