LOVE for God and for Believers
The Love of God abides in us via The Fruit of The Spirit, and His Love enables The Atonement (Intimacy of God) -
We have seen evidences of God’s Love defined in 1Corinthians 13 and the connection with The Day of Atonement in that Chapter. We have seen how Isaiah Chapter 58 introduced us to the true Day of Atonement, God desires for us. God wants us to be reconciled and have an intimate relationship with Him and with all those around us. This is a mature love that grows in us, as we come close to God. God’s love enables us to be truly alive in Him....
2:5 he who keeps GOD’s Word is the one in whom The Love of GOD is perfected
2:15 Love NOT the world, nor the things in it.
If any love the world, GOD’s Love is not in him.
3:1 GOD’s Love is given to us who are called The Sons of GOD.
3:11 The message from the beginning is, that we should Love one another
3:14 We know we have passed from death to life, because we Love one another
3:16 We see the Love of GOD, because HE laid down His life for us and we also for each other
3:17 we have compassion for the needy as the Love of GOD dwells in us
3:18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
4:7-
1 John 4:16–21 "16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. 17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. 19 We love him, because he first loved us. 20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? 21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.”
1 John 5:1–3 “1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. 2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.”
