Continued Verses in Romans dealing with Atonement.
2:4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
Paul introduces the idea that God leads us to repentance through His Goodness, Mercy and Patience. This is repeated in our key Atonement verses 3:24-
In 4:6 Romans mentions David being given right standing while his iniquities are forgiven and his sins are covered.
In 5:10-
In Romans 8, Paul presents the process of the Spirit Led Nature replacing The Sin Nature. Paul writes about The Law in 8:2 and 8:4. He reveals the conflict in our members which The Law brings. Only in The Law of The Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus can The Righteousness of The Law be fulfilled in us. In 8:3 and 8:7, Paul shows The Flesh is condemned and cannot be subject to The Law of God. Paul shows The Spirit Life and The Old Life are in conflict one against another.
God has adopted us and called usHis Sons and heirs of salvation. 8:15-
And through The Spirit Life, we can have perfect love and reveal His Sons to all of creation. 8:19-
God has predestined His plan to conform us to the image of His Son. 8:29 and His love for us is permanent as we read at the end of Romans 8.
Romans 9 to 11 Reveals the justice of God's dealings with Israel in Mercy and in Judgment.
Romans 12 shows the need for our transformation. To present our bodies as living sacrifices, and for the renewing of our mind, being transformed by The Word of God. That we might prove what is good, acceptable and perfect in God's Will.
Rom 14 warns us about Judging our fellow servants, who may be weak in The Faith. Believers who are having trouble living in the world of sin and death. Paul picks out two problems believers encounter with the world:
a. What about pagan butcher shops... and idolatry?
b. What about cultural celebrations?
Paul sums these up in 14:17 17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
We identify with Jesus and the two goats of The Day of Atonement: We have The Blood of Christ Jesus applied, and we are sent out into the world as living sacrifices.
