1 Thessalonians Theme: Loving Fellowship
A Study of God’s Calling, Election, and Eternal Rewards
The Church at Thessalonica was concerned about their status as believers and whether Paul and God had abandoned them during their times of suffering.
In both letters to The Church at Thessalonica, Paul refers to them personally and intimately. These books each convey the Theme of Intimate Fellowship -
There are only a few notes added to the KJV Text. Most of these notes are from The Expositors Study Bible. I have included the notes from Jimmy Swaggart with a few notes by myself with the intent to show the closeness of our fellowship in Christ Jesus….
The Fall Feasts are all in the 7th Month. When we look at The First Letter Paul wrote to the Church at Thessalonica, we should note the closeness of:
– The Trumpet Call (The Day of Trumpets) 1Thes 4:16
– The Intimate Fellowship within The Church (The Day of Atonement) 4:9, 5:8
– The Promised Eternal Relationship (The Feast of Tabernacles) 4:17
– The Wrath of God against those who refuse fellowship (The Last Great Day) 5:9
Then as we read The Second Letter To Thessalonica, Paul stresses The Judgment and Wrath of GOD 1:8.
2:3 The Falling Away or Apostasy which came soon after Paul left.
2:7 The Mystery of Lawlessness or Iniquity. They will be consumed by the Word from The LORD’s Mouth.
