 Along with GOD’s LOVE comes Positive and Negative actions -- Just like The 10 Commandments. We see both-- what we should do and what we should not do. It’s the same way with LOVE. Previously we have a diagram that depicts this relationship between Love and Law. Both are needed for our growth and maturity.

 1Corinthians deals with Judgment, Love, and Justice throughout. One of the main themes in The Bible is The 10 Commandments. 1Corinthians does have some thoughts with respect to this theme as well:

 1Cor 6:9 "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God."

 The list of the Puffed-Up warnings and directions, to give proper judgement, are warnings to Christians, that GOD is serious about Maturity and Godly living.

            The New Testament deals with sin with respect to "The Intents of The Heart" (Heb 4:12.) We cannot be changed by The Law unless that Law is Written upon our hearts. (Heb 10:16)   (Following Atonement in 1Cor 13 and 14)

  1Corinthians 15 deals with the Resurrection    And the Next Feast is The Feast of Tabernacles:  

                   Paul deals with this Feast in Chapter 15

 The Feast of Tabernacles is a picture of GOD's Dwelling with Man. GOD created man on The Sixth Day. Genesis 1:26 "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish

 of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth."

          After this good beginning, we see the fall of man and – GOD's salvation plan to finish making man in The Image and Likeness of GOD.

 Here are a few of the Main Types of Tabernacles in The Bible:

-- Noah built an Ark for his family.

-- Abraham became a Friend of GOD.

-- Moses built a Tabernacle - a Tent to symbolize GOD's Presence.

-- David and Solomon built a Tabernacle for GOD's Presence.

-- JESUS became The Word Dwelling in a fleshly Body - Skin of a Man.

-- The Church is HIS Body, and HIS Bride

Finally, Believers will be Changed in an Instant with Immortal Bodies.

 

       1Corinthians 15 gives us the most extensive scriptures dealing with The Resurrection.

15:1-4  Paul starts with a review of JESUS' Death and Resurrection.

15:5-7 JESUS appears to many in a new Physical Body.

15:8-11 JESUS appears to Paul and teaches him the New Covenant.

15:12-21 The Fact of Death and Need for Resurrection

15:22-28 All authority is given to Christ JESUS.

15:29-34 The struggle of Christian Life in this world

15:35-49 The Nature of The New Life and Resurrection

15:50-58 The Promised Change to a New Body
