When we read Job or read about his trials, we may wonder WHY it took Job and God so long to talk about the troubles that came upon him…?

We read James and other N T Books and see even in The O T, men such as Enoch was able to walk with God. Job was a righteous man and did not accuse God falsely, but he did not have a direct connection with God for a year or more. Abraham seemed to have a similar experience in his relationship with God. Abraham talked with God on occasion but he had long periods in his life where God seems absent - like when Abraham was convinced to have a child with Hagar for example….

Adam had a relationship with GOD but he chose Eve and Sin rather than walk - with God as Enoch did. Job was a religious man who was forced by his trials to enter into a relationship with GOD.  Finally Job came to the place where he listened to GOD and was blessed.

Job made sacrifices and worshiped God. He trusted God and prayed yet he never listened until after all the troubles and many chapters of discussion with his friendly-counselors. After all of that, God came and interrupted Job’s troubles with direct conversation and Job learned how to hear from God as Enoch, Noah and Abraham had done...

This seems to be a common question with Religious People -- Who can listen to God and does God listen?  The NT reveals the answer and Job found it way back then.... Like Enoch did.  Adam Lost it, Jesus gave it and God delivers it free of charge = if we listen and obey. Faith is a gift and fruit of The Holy Spirit. Connecting God’s Wisdom and Knowledge to His Healing and Power through Faith...! 1 Cor 12.

GOD is totally in charge - but it is the apparent view of some that we can bargain with God -or much worse to bargain with the devil. GOD is shown to be right and just in Romans and Revelation. But there is in some religious circles, Great Confusion about Who is in charge?

GOD is in charge yet HE has given man certain rights of free choice - to live in curses or blessings....

In addition, we are not alone in this problem. Christians have JESUS and The Church as well as The Holy Spirit to help us in time of need.

So many are deaf to the truth. Like Job they do not have a relationship with God. They are not Sons nor His Children... They are servants and sanctified but they have not yet come to The Throne nor Table to sit there and be trained, disciplined and scourged. Job was scourged but he skipped all the training and conversation part until the very end of his many trials. Of course Job was not a NT Believer, but he sought for a days-man and finally God intervened.

Job lived before Moses and after Jacob. So The Law was not yet written. The conflict seems very NT but without JESUS as The Days-man and The Holy Spirit to lead Job he struggled and never simply asked God for wisdom. Job worshiped, complained and listened to his friends until he finally listened to God.

Job is like a Religious Christian who has no relationship with God. Finally Job learns to listen to God.

Job is the earliest representative of how god-fearing people lived under The Covenant of Noah and the Promises having been given to Abraham....  Thus Job represents Abrahamic living conditions.... Abraham listened to GOD at times but also seemed to have long periods of absence from direct contact with GOD.  This is like some Christians today. They go to Church in sacrifice and yet do not hear from GOD on an ongoing basis. They listen to advisers and friends more than listening to The Holy Spirit. They have no intimate connection with GOD, and no direct connection with GOD’s protection and authority.

In Job’s story, there is no ongoing Walk by Faith in The Holy Spirit with GOD. There is no NT born Again experience which must be sought after with The Whole-Open Heart. Job is like Laodiceans in Rev 3, who have not heard and opened to The Lord and they are not feasting with The Savior. They are miserable blind and naked as was Job in his suffering....
