Feasts and The 3 Temptations of Matthew 4  Page 2

2.-"Cast Yourself Down - " Jesus was tempted to jump down from the Temple.

God's power would protect Him, but God was going to send down The Holy Spirit in due time. In Acts 2 at Pentecost, The Spirit comes down and inhabits believers with Holy Power. In Acts 2, God made a big noise and poured His power into believers.  God does protect us but as Jesus said, we should not tempt Him. When we believe, we should ask God to fill us with His Holy Spirit power so we can live and walk in the power He has provided. The Holy Spirit comes with gifts to help our thinking see 1 Corinthians 12:1-12, and with good emotional help as listed in Galatians 5:22-23.

3. -"Bow down and the world is Yours - "  Jesus was tempted to short cut the plan of God, if only He would serve the devil. No. Jesus is and always was without sin. He purchased The Church with His body and blood at Passover. He dwells in The Holy Spirit as we visit with Him in Holy Places. And He will come back to rule This Earth in due time.

That rule and reign represents The Feast of Tabernacles, Jesus will inhabit Jerusalem as King of kings and Lord of lords.. Satan will be bond for 1,000 years and then cast into the fire.

The Holy City will come down to Earth in all it's glory in due time. see Revelation 20, 21 and 22.

That is a brief description of the three steps in God's Salvation Plan. The devil wanted to disrupt that plan but Jesus started out on the right foot and He still is on the straight and narrow road that leads to salvation. Come along. He has prepared the way.
