      Revelation Ties to Other NT Books: These NT Books have specific resources which can answer the problems John writes of within each Church….  As seen on Internet with John Kasik 2022-23.   Mostly my  notes

First notice the relationship between 1 Corinthians and the 7 Puffed-Up problems as it relates to the 7 Churches. See the Page nearby ….

Ephesians:  The Church at Ephesus is first seen in Acts 19 as a Jewish congregation of believers in John The Baptist. They were led by Paul to be Saved into Jesus Christ and then Baptized in the Holy Spirit. The Book of Ephesians reveals God’s Plan for salvation and the restoration of what was lost by the fall of Adam into sin. Ephesians reveals God’s predestined plan for salvation. The first 6 of the 7 Set times are revealed as Mystery Pictures in Ephesians. And the 7th Set Time of God’s Wrath is removed through Salvation….

Philippians- Smyrna: Resolves the problem of persecution and rejection by so called brethren. The early Church encountered divisions and judgments of brothers who were only different on small matters. Of course some big problems were dealt with by Paul and John in their letters, but items such as trinity divided East from West for example. These items still exist today as differences in Roman vs Protestant doctrine. But that should not mean that all Catholic Believers are doomed to eternal hell because they believe differently…. Jesus left His eternal glory and died that we might be saved. Our essential faith must be placed in Him alone.

Pergamum: Corinthians gives answers for fornication and idolatry which are involved at Pergamum.

Romans: Answers the problems of sin and death at Sardis.

Thessalonians: Gives answers to the needs at Philadelphia.

Colossians: Was a sister city to Laodicea. Jesus is exalted in Colossians and the problems of doctrine are dealt with in Colossians. Legalism-Gnosticism-Asceticism are dealt with by Paul.  

Ephesus – Laodicea have similarities

Smyrna – Philadelphia have similarities

Pergamum -  Sardis have similarities

Thyatira stands alone in the center of the chiasm

Matthew 13 has 7 Kingdom Parables these can be related to the 7 Churches in Rev 2-3:

Wheat and Soils – Ephesians – As Adam lost the blessing of The Garden….

Wheat and Tares – Sardis – The struggle for righteous seed and Joseph redeeming Israel.

Mustard Seed – Pergamum – Israel struggled to obey and bless other nations.

Leaven in 3 Measures – Thyatira – The Kingdoms of Judah, Israel and The Gentiles

Treasure in a Field – Sardis – Exile into Babylon and Mystery Babylon

Pearl of Great price – Philadelphia – The Return and struggle for The Temple of God

Drag Net – Laodicea – Jesus born as Son of God among a fallen but religious nation.
