Adam fell after 2 X 49 years and Christians have been tested 40 X 49 or 1960 years. Some have overcome sin but only with the grace of God, His Spirit and His Son.
1:14-20 Jesus calls 4 DisciplesJesus proclaims The Kingdom of God the time is at hand, repent and believe The Gospel. After that HE calls Peter, Andrew, James and John away from fishing in Galilee. After 4,000 years, The Time is Fulfilled. Jesus has entered into Creation and calls mankind to serve The Creator.2,000 years to Abraham, 2,000 years to Jesus, and now 2,000 years calling upon those who will serve in The Kingdom. (Servants who will rule and reign.)
1:21-28 IN Synagogue ON Sabbath Jesus taught with authority. An unclean spirit cries out, YOU are The Holy One of God, and Jesus casts it out.
1:29-34 Jesus heals the sick. Peter's Mother-in-law is healed and after Sunset many come and are healed.
1:35-45 Serving in GalileeJesus withdraws and many seek for Him. A Leper comes to Jesus and is made clean. Go quietly and show your cleansing to the priest.
2:1-12 Forgiveness and HealingA crowd gathers at Peter's house, and a paralyzed man is let down from the roof. Jesus first forgives his sin and then tells him to arise, take up his bed and go.
2:13-17 Jesus eats with sinnersJesus calls Levi from tax collecting to follow ME, and HE ate at his house with other tax collectors and sinners.... Jesus has come to save sinners and to be a physician.
2:18-28 Fasting and SabbathFasting is for the sorrowful not for celebration. The new wine comes only into new wineskins. The picking of new grain is for those who are hungry. Rules and regulations should benefit believers not burden them. The Sabbath was made to bless man and The Son of Man is Lord over Sabbath and all HE created. Priests were provided to bless people, not to curse teem.
3:1-6 Jesus heals on SabbathA man with a withered hand is healed in The Synagogue. The Pharisees are angry and hard hearted. They plan to kill Jesus.
